Here are two pieces of a side series I’m slowly working on involving using the free flow of ink to create a template for lace rather than the carefully planned geometry that is usually employed. I don’t know how to make lace (but I would love to learn how) so I draw it. I’m really interested in craft at the moment, particularly traditional rug and lace patterns as inspiration. I’ll post the rug when it’s done(r).
Also, check out Outlet Magazine, the contemporary art mag of Savannah GA, and SALiT, another contemporary art publication this month… you’ll see some familiar work!
Coming up, my work will be in four different venues. Look for work in Bacchus Wine Bar in Savannah, GA, at the High Point Market in North Carolina, Galerie Ortus, in Bonnieux, France, and of course Parker Art Gallery on Saint Simons Island, GA.
